Women's Cross Country Fourth at Griak Invitational

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The Lewis & Clark women's cross country team placed fouth out of 29 teams at the Griak Invitational in Minneapolis, Minn. this Saturday, September 29th.The men's team placed 15th out of 27 teams.

For the women, Emily Thomas led the way, finishing 12th with a time of 22:54.5. Also finishing in the top five Lewis & Clark runners were Melissa Newton-Mora, finishing 22nd with a time of 23:37.7, Kaitlyn Throgmorton finishing 23rd with a time of 23:39.2, Emily Fagan finishing 26th with a time of 23:50.2, and Heather Spurling finishing 52nd with a time of 24:24.0.

On the men's side, Sam Smith was the first finisher for the Pioneers, finishing 56th with a time of 27:29.3. Also finishing in the top five Lewis & Clark runners were Jarrod Nixon, finishing 67th with a time of 27:39.9, Daniel Shaver, finishing 73rd with a time of 27:43.6, Drew LeDonne, finishing 100th with a time of 28:19.3, and Brendy Hale, finishing 113th with a time of 28:34.9.
