TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The Lewis & Clark women's cross country team continued its season on Saturday with a 20th place finish at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championship in Terre Haute, Ind. Senior Emily Thomas finished her career with a 46th place finish, her best place in her three trips to the national race.
The race consisted of 277 runners and 32 teams.
Thomas crossed the finish line in 22:12.9. The next Pioneer finisher was Melissa Newton-Mora in 73rd place with a time of 22:34.3. Heather Spurling was the third L&C finisher with a time of 23:08.4 earning her 156th place.
Kaitlyn Throgmorton took home 170th place with a time of 23:15.2, while Katie Keith finished in 197th place with a time of 23:26.8. Sophomore Susan Heinselman finished in 23:55.5 and Emily Fagan rounded out the group with a time of 24:24.7.
