Lewis & Clark opens search for new Director of Physical Education and Athletics

PALATINE HILL -- Lewis & Clark has begun a national search for the next Director of Physical Education and Athletics.

The Director of Physical Education and Athletics (AD) will lead a program that promotes athletic and academic excellence. The AD will oversee the development of student-athletes participating in 19 varsity sports. Student-athletes make up 16 percent of all Lewis & Clark students and compete in the Northwest Conference (NCAA Division III).

The position also supervises the college's physical education, intramural and recreational programs.

Vice President of Student Life Robin Holmes-Sullivan is overseeing the hiring process, which will include broad participation from across the college, including trustees, faculty, coaches, alumni, student-athletes and friends. Mark Pietrok is currently serving as Interim Athletic Director.
