HILLSBORO, Ore. -- Leading the Pioneers in points per game, rebounds per game, field-goal percentage, and blocks per game junior Zeke Crawford capped off his best career year with an All-Northwest Conference Honorable Mention selection.
This is Crawford's first All-NWC selection. He ended the season averaging 13.5 points per game shooting a career-best 60.4 percent from the field which puts him in fifth place in the NWC in shooting percentage. Crawford had a career-high 34 points in the Pioneers second to last game of the season against Pacific going 15 of 20 from the field to go along with a career-best 17 rebounds, including 14 defensive rebounds. Crawford led the Pioneers in rebounding (8.0 rpg) which was good enough to finish fourth in the NWC in rebounds per game.
A strong presence down low for the Pioneers Crawford also led the team in blocks, amassing 42 blocks this season which was the second highest total in the NWC this season. This moves Crawford to third all-time at Lewis & Clark in career blocks (73), 22 blocks out of first place.
Crawford's selection gives the Pioneers an All-NWC selection every season since 2007-2008. Andrew Vickers was selected to the All-NWC second team for the Pioneers last year.
Last season Crawford started all but one of the Pioneers games and averaged 8.5 points in 25.0 minutes per game. He amassed 20 blocks, 140 rebounds and 23 assists.
The Pioneers finished the season with an 8-17 overall record and a 4-12 mark in conference, an identical record to last season. The Pioneers return four seniors next season, including Crawford, four juniors and four sophomores. Three of the Pioneers top five scorers and the top four rebounders are all expected to return for the 2019-2020 season.
