DUPONT, Wash. -- Jacob Bell's 3-over-par 75 led the Lewis & Clark Pioneers on day one of their first fall tournament. Play began on Sunday at The Home Course.
Bell currently sits in 21st place, seven strokes off the leader, Mac Turner of Puget Sound.
An All-Northwest Conference selection last spring, junior Robert Wang posted a 7-over-par 79 to end the round in the top 50 at 48th place. Freshman Spencer Long shot an 85 to finish one spot ahead of teammate David Furman who is playing his first season of collegiate golf. Furman debuted with an 86. Kade McCoy had a 98.
The tournament is also the first for new head coach James Yen, who took over for the retired Dave Andrews.
Play will resume on Monday.
