PORTLAND, Ore — The Lewis & Clark Pioneers continue to dominate in the Northwest Conference with another 9-0 sweep against the Pacific Lutheran Lutes. The Pioneers are now 3-0 in conference, and have an overall record of 5-2. The Pioneers are ranked 27 in the nation as of this match.
The Pioneers breezed through singles for the day, and only had one close match in doubles against the Lutes No. 2 team. The Pioneers shut down the Lutes in singles with most of the matches ending with a score of 6-1 or 6-0.
In doubles, Riley Vickers and Ryan Hayes dominated the No. 3 team for the Lutes. Vickers and Hayes had a 8-2 win. Will McDermott and Brendan Adams finished the only close match of the day with an 8-7 win. Raed Attia and Ramez Attia finished the Lutes' No. 1 in doubles with a clean sweep of 8-0.
In singles, the Pioneers completely took control of the court to dominate the Lutes. Raed Attia won against the No. 1 for the Lutes with a final score of 6-1, 6-1. Adams also had a big win against the Lutes' No. 2 with a score of 6-2, 6-1.
