SALEM, Ore. -- The Pioneers dominated the Willamette Bearcats with a 7-2 victory. This brings the Pioneers' overall record to 8-4, and puts their conference record at 6-2. The Pioneers have one more conference match for the season before the Northwest Conference Tournament.
The Pioneers only dropped two matches on the day, and Riley Vickers got a clean sweep of 6-0, 6-0 in singles for the day. Ryan Hayes and Vickers also left victorious in doubles with an 8-1 win. The Pioneers went 3-0 in doubles and 4-2 in singles against the Bearcats.
In doubles, Raed and Ramez Attia had a strong 8-4 win against the Bearcats' top team. Brandon Adams and Will McDermott also finished vicotoriously, but it was a little closer of a match with a final score of 8-6. Vickers and Hayes had their incredible 8-1 win which helped the Pioneers go into singles strong.
In singles, Raed fell to the Bearcats' No. 1 in an extremely close 4-6, 6-1, 5-10 loss. McDermott also suffered from a close loss that finished with a score of 4-6, 6-1, 7-10. Vickers had an amazing performance in singles with a 6-0, 6-0 win. Ramez Attia also had an incredible win with a score of 6-0, 6-4. Adams and Hayes also took home wins for the Pioneers.
- McDermott/Adams now have a NWC doubles record of 6-2
- Attia/Attia are now 6-2 as well in NWC doubles
- Hayes is now 5-3 in NWC singles
- Vickers has a NWC singles record of 6-2
- Adams and Hayes are currently on a 3 game winning streak in singles
