HARTFORD, Conn. -- Two Lewis & Clark Pioneers were selected as Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association National Scholar-Athletes, the organization announced last month.
Rising junior Allie Traeger and Class of 2019 graduate Natalie Stroud earned the distinction, which requires that honorees hold a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade-point average for their career and participate in 75 percent of the team's spring races, or a regional or conference event.
Stroud was selected for the third year in a row. She was also named to her second consecutive All-Northwest Conference team at last April's NWC Championships along with senior Liana Clary.
Traeger and Stroud were both members of the women's varsity eight crew that placed fourth in the petite final and tenth overall at the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships last April.
