LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Sophomore outfielder Paige Salavea was picked to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association's Division III All-Region team, the organization announced earlier this month.
Salavea was selected to the West Region Third-Team, which consists of 15 at-large selections. There were 11 Northwest Conference student-athletes selected on all three teams in the West Region.
Salavea, who was selected All-NWC First-Team, led off the majority of the year and finished top six in the conference in batting average, hitting .400 for the entire season. She also finished top six in doubles, totaling 10.
Lewis & Clark set best-ever marks under head coach Shawna Cyrus this past season, winning five games in a row and eight over a nine-game stretch. The team was in Northwest Conference tournament contention during the last weekend of the season.
