FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- For the seventh consecutive year, the Lewis & Clark Pioneers have made it on the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America Scholar All-America list for both Spring 2018 and Fall 2018, the organization announced earlier in the week.
In the Spring of 2018, the Pioneers men's team earned the second-highest grade-point average (3.36) among Northwest Conference institutions. In the fall, the Pios achieved a GPA of 3.19 and were selected as well.
With a 3.20 GPA in both the spring and fall, the women were on the list for both semesters. Overall, Lewis & Clark has had at least one team recognized over the past seven seasons.
For the Fall 2018 list, the CSCAA selected 713 teams from a total of 460 institutions, a new record for the award. To make the list, the team's cumulative GPA, which consists of all eligible varsity athletes, must be a minimum of 3.0.
