Track Competes at Dempsey Indoor Open


SEATTLE, Wash. - The Lewis & Clark track team started its season on Saturday at the Dempsey Indoor Open with a select few athletes participating. 

Rachel Stone competed in the 60m hurdles for the Pioneers, finishing with a time of 12.40. Katherine Kowal took part in the 200m dash where she finished with a time of 27.92. Kowal also competed in the 60m dash where she finished in 8.42.

Bjorn Hansen competed in the pole vault, where he finished with a height of 13-00.25 (3.97m). Curtis Shirey ended the long jump with a distance of 20-04.25 (6.20m). In the men's 200m dash, Colin Brown ended with a time of 23.73, earning him 33rd place.

The Pioneers return to action on March 7 at 9 a.m. at the Linfield Icebreaker (throwers only) and the UPS 5 Way at 11 a.m.
