PORTLAND, Ore. – The Lewis & Clark track & field team had its final tune up before the Northwest Conference Championships with the L&C Invite.
Colin Brown ended the 100m dash in second place with a time of 11.40, finishing just seconds behind a runner from Pacific. Brown also took home second in the 200m dash with a time of 22.38.
Michael Walker ended the 400m in third place with a time of 50.76, while Jeff Mullins finished a full 1500m with a time of 4:05. 29 (9th place). Nick Ellis concluded the 5000m with a time of 16:21.96, earning him fourth place.
In the men's long jump, David Lovitz finished in fourth place with a distance of 1.81m. Bjorn Hansen took third place in the pole vault with a height of 4.07m.
On the women's side, Katie Kowal took third in the 100m dash with a time of 12.73, while Jeanie Mullins finished sixth with a time of 12.93. Kowal won the 200m dash after finish with a time of 26.05.
In the 400m, Amelia Jackson finished in fourth place 1:03.73, while Susan Heinselman took fourth in the 1500m with a time of 4:53.17. Emilie Newton finished the 100m hurdles in fifth place with a time of 16.69. Rachel Stone finished the 400m hurdles in fifth place with a time of 1:08.92.
Alexi Shean finished the high jump with a height of 1.53m, good enough for third place. Mullins took part in the long jump, finishing in fourth place with a distance of 4.98m.
Brigitte Russo concluded the shot put in second place with a distance of 11.73m, after winning the hammer with a throw of 45.81m.
In the discus, Sarah Bucknovitz and Glenna Andrews finished seventh and eighth respectively. Bucknovitz finished with a distance of 33.20m, while Andrews was right behind with a 33.19m. Both also competed in the hammer with Andrews taking seventh (40.89m) and Bucknovitz 12th (36.91m)
