SALEM, Ore. -- The Lewis & Clark Pioneers didn't have as many participants at the Willamette Invitational compared to the previous meets but of those who went five of them set new PR at this Saturday.
For the 100 meters, McKenzie Wingard placed third overall and set a new PR with a time of 12.56. In the triple jump, Chrislyn DeMattos set a new PR with a distance of 9.89m (32 ft 5 ½ in) and placing seventh.
In the 100 meters, Isam Tahir set a new PR with an 11.33 and is now the fastest on the team in this event overtaking Deriontae Green's time of 11.36. Miguel Haro-Ruiz beat his previous 800m time with a new time and PR of 1:56.38. In the 5000 meters, Blake Slattengren set a new PR with a time of 15:10.20.
The Pioneers are now on their spring break but will be travelling to McMinnville, Ore for the Linfield Jenn Boyman Meet on Apr. 7 at 10 a.m.
