Aaron Campbell joined the Lewis & Clark track and field staff in the fall of 2016, making the 2018-19 season his third for the Pioneers. He was named interim head coach in Mar. 2019.

A coach with a record of growing successful programs, Campbell starts with Lewis & Clark after four seasons with Emory University, where in 2015-16, the women's track and field team was ranked top-25 nationally. At the peak of his time as an assistant coach there, Emory was ranked as high as fifth in the nation. Academically, Emory succeeded with Campbell as a member of the staff, the women and men achieved grade-point averages of 3.55 and 3.41, respectively, over the 2015-16 season.

Over the entirety of Campbell's career, he has coached a total of 33 All-Americans in all of his event groups. Emory had one national champion and three NCAA runner-ups with Campbell on staff. He also helped student-athletes achieve 26 school records, 59 conference championships and 10 conference records.

While at Emory, Campbell was named the 2013 South/Southeast Assistant Coach of the Year, while the coaching staff earned three UAA Coaching Staff of the Year Awards.

Prior to his time at Emory, Campbell was a coach for Duke University and the University of Vermont. He coached sprint and hurdles at both institutions. 

Campbell received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Vermont in 2010.
