RIVERSIDE, Calif. - All 16 of the Lewis & Clark women's basketball team saw action on Tuesday evening in the Pioneers third consecutive game in California as the team took down La Sierra 78-53.
The Pioneers finish their non-conference schedule with a perfect 11-0 record and a 12th place national ranking according to the latest D3hoops.com Women's Top-25 poll. La Sierra, a NAIA member, falls to 3-17 on the season.
Senior Megan Spence led all players with 20 points in just 18 minutes of action. Neva Hauser and Kristina Williams each knocked down 13 points for the Pios, while sophomore Katie Anderson scored 10 points. Junior Sara Villanueva pulled down a team-high five rebounds, while Daron Dean, Tayler Wang and Cassie Buecherie each grabbed four boards.
Natalia Hawthorne scored a team-high 14 points for La Sierra, while Victoria Lowe and Brittani Walker each scored seven points.
The Pioneers dive into Northwest Conference action when they return to the court on January 3 at 6 p.m. against George Fox in the Pamplin Sports Center.
