Lewis & Clark Basketball Teaming up With the Alzheimer's Association for Friday's Game

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Lewis & Clark basketball team will be partnering with the Alzheimer's Association for Friday's Northwest Conference game against the Whitman Missionaries.

Prior to the start of the game, the team will be wearing purple warm-up shirts in honor of Alzheimer's research and awareness.

Every 69 seconds, someone in America develops Alzheimer's disease. There are already over 5.4 million Americans living with Alzheimer's. Today Alzheimer's is the sixth-leading cause of death in the US and the only one among the top 10 that cannot be prevented, cured or even slowed.

Alzheimer's is NOT a normal part of aging.

But together we can change the future of Alzheimer's. The Alzheimer's Association is the leading organization in Alzheimer care, support and research.
