FOREST GROVE, Ore. - Junior guard Katie Anderson was named the Northwest Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Tuesday.
Anderson helped the #10 Lewis & Clark women's basketball team to two wins over the weekend, moving the Pioneers into sole possession of first place in the NWC.
On Friday, she scored what was then a career-high 18 points in the teams hard fought 76-74 win over Puget Sound. Anderson then hit the court on Saturday night, knocking down 21 points in the teams final regular season home contest of the year. She also collected six rebounds on Saturday against Willamette, while averaging 19.5 points for the week.
The Pioneers take the court on Tuesday, Feb. 12 at 6 p.m. against Pacific (Ore.) in Forest Grove.
