McMINNVILLE, Ore. -- The Lewis & Clark Pioneers gave up a third-minute goal to Linfield's Jamie Mars, which ended up being the game-winner in a 1-0 road loss at the Linfield Soccer Field on Sunday afternoon.

The score stood the remainder of the game despite Lewis & Clark outshooting Linfield, 13-7, over the duration of the match. The Pioneers (1-5-0, 0-2-0 Northwest Conference) forced six saves including four in the final 22 minutes, during which another shot by Lewis & Clark was blocked by a Linfield (2-4-0, 2-0-0) player.
