Traci Nakamura began her first season as an assistant coach for women’s soccer prior to the 2017 season.
A former three-year student-athlete for the Pioneers from Honolulu, Hawaii, Nakamura was a started in all 58 games she played. From 2010-12, she scored five goals, with four coming in her senior year. Following that season, Nakamura was named All-Northwest Conference Second Team as a defender. A year prior, Nakamura was selected All-NWC Honorable Mention.
In a 6-1 win over George Fox in Oct. 2012, Nakamura had two goals and an assist, which was her only career assist. She finished with 11 points in three seasons. Later that month, Nakamura scored the lone goal of a match against Pacific, which moved Lewis & Clark to 5-4-2 in NWC games. At the time, it tied a school record for the most conference wins.
She scored her first career goal in Sept. 2010 against Northwest Christian in a 2-1 win.
In addition to coaching for Lewis & Clark, Nakamura, a 2013 graduate in Mathematics, works for Adidas North America in Portland.
