WHITEWATER, Wisc.-- The Lewis & Clark Pioneers wrapped up their trip to the 2017 UW-Whitewater Invitational on Saturday morning Augustana. Following the Pioneers' 3-0 loss to the Norse, Lewis & Clark junior Kortney Meyer was named to the All-Tournament Team.
Over the course of Lewis and Clark's three matches, Meyer averaged a hitting percentage of .163 and led the team in kills with a total of 36. Meyer also gave the Pioneers a total of 43 points by the end of the tournament.
In the Pioneers second match against Luther, Meyer finished the match with 20 kills, which brought her to a new season high. She had a .173 hitting percentage and also finished the match with eight additional digs and five service aces.
Meyer and the Pioneers will travel to George Fox for their first Northwest Conference match of the season on Wednesday. The game starts at 7 p.m. and the Pioneers will look to break a four-game losing streak.
