HILLSBORO, Ore. -- A dominating performance this weekend at the Washington & Lee Invitational in Virgina saw senior Kortney Meyer named MVP of the tournament and earned her Northwest Conference Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week. Meyer averaged 3.00 kills per set and a .268 hitting percentage over the course of the weekend. She had a season high 14 digs against DeSales and averaged 1.43 for the weekend while totaling 12 blocks and four aces to help the Pios become the only undefeated team in the NWC (7-0).
Off an All-Northwest Conference Honorable Mention selection from last year, Meyer has started her senior season strong leading the Pioneers in kills (74), kills per set (3.22) and assisted blocks (20). Meyer has also moved up to sixth all time at Lewis & Clark in assisted blocks.
The Pioneers start conference play next Friday on the road against Whitman before traveling to Spokane for a Saturday match against Whitworth.
