FOREST GROVE, Ore. -- The Lewis & Clark Pioneers (9-5, 2-5 NWC) are defeated by the Pacific (Ore.) Boxers (11-5, 5-2 NWC) in a four set match. The Pioneers started the match winning the first set of the game keeping the lead the entire set. The Pioneers then dropped the next three consecutive sets of the match to end early in four (25-19, 15-25, 23-25, 21-25).
The Pioneers limited unforce errors as the game went on. Although the Pioneers offense continued to struggle as the game continued with the number of kills dropping each set until the fourth set. Casey Myszkowski lead the Pioneers offense tonight hitting a .312 with only one error for 16 attempts.

Key Moments
The Pioneers offense started off strong with kills by Sam Yorke and Casey Myszkowksi. This was also the best set for the Pioneers defense with senior libero, Annika San Nicolas, keeping the Pioneers in the game with her scarppy defense. Ka'anelaokapu'uwai Pakaki-Pias ended the set for the Pioneers with three consecutive kills, 25-19.
In the third set, the Pioneers struggled in both serving and receiving. The Pioneers were down the entire set until the Pioneers went on a five point run to get themselves back in the game. The Pacific offense put a stop to the Pioneers run with multiple kills. The Pioneers ended up coming up short in the end with a score of 23-25.
