NEWBERG, Ore. -- The Lewis & Clark Pioneers (12-9, 5-9 NWC) dropped three straight sets to the George Fox Bruins (10-12, 4-10 NWC). The Pioneers started off multiple matches with leads then lost them to runs by George Fox. The ending scores were 19-25, 15-25, 16-25.
The Pioneers continued to struggle with unforced errors which was shown in both offense and defense. The Bruins were in control both offensively and defensively this set without letting balls drop, but also hitting a team average of .172 compared to the Pioneers average of .031.
The Pioneers started off the second set strong with a four point lead in the set. With Kelsey Parker having one of her first starts and contributing two kills in the four point lead. This lead was ended by four straight hitting errors by the Pioneers to let the Bruins back in the game to eventually finish it.
Ka'anelaokapu'uwai Pakaki-Pias and Hannah Robles lead the Pioneers in the beginning of the second set to start with a lead. Kelsey Parker again helped keep the Pioneers in this set with two more kills. The Pioneers then again had three hitting errors in a row and a serve receive error to let the Bruins come back to gain control of this set.

The Pioneers head back to Portland to finish off their season at Pamplin Sports Center against Pacific (Ore.) University and Pacific Lutheran University on Nov. 2 and Nov. 3.
