NEW ORLEANS - For at least the 13th-straight year, the Lewis & Clark Pioneers had a team selected for U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic Team awards, the organization announced Thursday.
On the men's side, the Pios made the list with a Fall 2018 GPA of 3.72. The Pios had the third best GPA in the country behind only MIT (3.78) and Caltech (3.73). This is the men's tenth-straight year earning this recognition and 12th time in the last 13 seasons.
Earning a Fall 2018 GPA of 3.25, the women's team made the list again this year, having achieved the honor every season since 2006. LeTourneau had the highest GPA on the women's side earning a 3.85.
Last fall, Adalynn Griesser made the Dean's List for the women. On the men's side, Ryan Nguyen, Miguel Haro Ruiz, Sean Richardson, Connor Robertson and Matthew White were named to the Dean's List. The Dean's List honors students who have achieved a 3.70 GPA or higher.
On both the men's and women's side Lewis & Clark was one of five NWC teams to make it on the list.
