The 2025 men's basketball team won Lewis & Clark's 107th conference title
There is a proud history of winning on Palatine Hill. With the addition of championships in women's rowing and baseball in 2023 and men's basketball in 2025, Lewis & Clark teams have won 107 total Conference Championships in 18 different sports. Men's track, women's volleyball and men's basketball have each won 14 titles throughout the years.Â
In addition to team championships, individual athletes have also won championships for the Pioneers. In 2005, cross country runner Carla McHattie was the first-ever female Pioneer to win a Northwest Conference Cross Country Championship. Since then, Ilana Livstrom (2011), Emily Thomas (2012) and Riley Buese (2023 and 2024) have won the NWC Cross Country Title. Lewis & Clark has had the top male runner at the cross country championships five times, a feat twice accomplished by Chris Miller (1963, 1965) and current Pioneer coach David Fix (1967, 1968). In track, the Pioneer men have won 191 individual conference titles. The women have amassed 58 including seven conference titles from Riley Buese between 2022-25.Â
